Feline Foster Program

At Desert Paws Rescue, we believe that the foster home is a critical part of giving our animals a second chance. Our foster program provides the opportunity to evaluate the behavior of our cats and kittens in a family environment, allows us to address any unwanted behavioral issues, and allows us to provide adoptive parents with all the information necessary to make an informed adoption decision and ensure that their new cat or kitten will be a good match with their family.

WE provide:

  • All necessary Veterinary medical services: Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, Microchip, FeLV/FIV testing, Dewormer, Flea & Tick treatments, Emergency Medical Services, Additional Surgical Needs.

  • All necessary Adoption services: Adoption Application Screening, Adoption Events, Promotion via Online Pet Adoption websites, Promotion via Social Media.

  • For Bottle-babies: kitten milk replacement, feeding syringes/bottles/nipples

  • Daily Cat Care Provisions (when available): cat food, cat litter, litter-box, litter-scooper, toys, blankets/towels/beds

YOU provide:

  • A safe and loving environment that will prepare your foster feline for finding their forever home.

  • Behavioral & personality details that will help our adoption coordinators find the right family for your foster’s needs.

  • Transportation to necessary medical and adoption services.
